1921: Achille Lecocq sr. sets up his own aroma company in Hasselt, the pre-eminent jenever city, where he had previously worked in a jenever distillery. The ideal person to handle the technique of distilling and the development of taste extracts for spirits, building a solid base on which future generations could continue to expand.
