A love for flavour since 1921

For four generations, Lecocq Flavours has been developing a wide range of liquid flavourings and distillates. Lecocq Flavours’ roots are in the Hasselt jenever industry.

In 1921, Achille Lecocq started producing aromas for alcoholic drinks in the Lazarijstraat in Hasselt. So initially, the focus was on the world of distilleries, later followed by the wider food industry. The second generation with Paul Lecocq brought diversification already, and the range broadened.

In the 1970s and 1980s, Achille Lecocq Jr. introduced further product expansion and the company grew rapidly. Lecocq also steered an international course with market outlets in Europe and beyond, including Africa. Speed, craftsmanship and a huge range of flavours proved to be assets.

CEO Olivier Lecocq joins the company in 1997.

In 2005, Lecocq Flavours relocates to industrial estate De Waerde in Zonhoven. Olivier Lecocq was handed the baton in 2006, and together with Business Manager Eveline Sticker, new focus areas soon appeared and a strategic vision was created. It wasn’t long before tradition was bundled with innovation, co-creation, and the expansion of the R&D lab.

In 2021, the illustrated book Smaak-100 years Lecocq Flavours/Taste-100 years of flavours was published.

And now, Lecocq Flavours - a flavoursome growth company - is ready for the next level.
